MDJ Contractors (Pty) Ltd (“MDJ”) provides specialist services across all aspects of general
building maintenance including plumbing and electrical work. While we provide our services
predominantly to Property Funds owning commercial, industrial and residential properties,
our services are always tailored to meet our clients’ explicit needs.
Our team consists of five team leaders, each assisted by two to six workmen, dependant on the size of the project. MDJ goes to great lengths to guarantee that there is a balanced and sustainable team culture to ensure that each and every project is a positive and prosperous success.
Originally established in 1998 and operating for two decades primarily as a contracting
company, MDJ then evolved into the multi-disciplinary professional team. With this wealth
of knowledge and expertise within the built environment sector, MDJ is able to offer our
clients quality and cost effective maintenance services.

With a Level 1 B-BBEE accreditation and dedicated support staff available 24/7, MDJ builds
our relationships with our clients based on trust, quality and reliability.
Led by our founder and Managing Director Marc de Jager and supported by our Business Development Shareholder David Mamahlako, MDJ views teamwork as the key to success on every project.
Marc successfully transformed MDJ from a family to a private company since its inception in 1998. He has over 20 years of maintenance experience having maintained City Property as a client since the company’s inception.
David is an accredited electrician (RED SEAL) and started his career in electrical assistance in 2010 Where he trained to become a qualified electrician. In 2017 he did his trade test and qualified as an electrician. He has since ventured into his own business and started a MDV Electrical. David is a 51% shareholder of MDJ and responsible for all electrical related work.
